Sources and methodology

A rate needs context.

Divisa.do gathers quotes published by Dominican institutions and enabled aggregators. We preserve provenance and distinguish publication from retrieval.

Updates and selection

We check sources at 08:00, 12:00 and 17:00, Dominican time. Official sources take priority; configured alternatives cover missing data or failed requests. We do not average rates or fill a missing side from another source.

Buy and sell

Buy is what an institution pays when you sell foreign currency. Sell is what you pay when buying it. A partial quote enables only the operation with a published value.

Freshness and review

Freshness follows each source’s publication frequency. Quotes past their validity remain available in history and the API and are excluded from current tables. Future dates and unusual changes are reviewed before publication.

Status and check

Checked indicates when Divisa.do retrieved and automatically validated data format and consistency. It is not the publication date or a bank certification. The API retains provenance and original dates. A recent check does not make an expired quote current.

History and references

We retain observations and exact decimal values. History preserves gaps and explains coverage. Collection dates are identified when publication dates are unknown. Official references appear separately from commercial offers.

Corrections and scope

Corrections create a new record with evidence and a reason. Figures are indicative: negotiated amounts, fees and availability must be confirmed with the institution. Report inconsistencies to info@refactoring.do.
